1 오, 너, 여자들 가운데서 가장 어여쁜 자여, 너의 사랑을 받는 이는 어디로 가셨느냐? 너의 사랑을 받는 이는 어디로 벗어나셨느냐? 이는 우리가 너와 함께 그분을 찾으려 함이라.

1 Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee.

2 나의 사랑을 받는 이는 그분의 정원 안으로 내려가셨고, 향료들이 있는 침상들에 이르셨으니, 정원들 안에서 양 떼를 먹이시려 함이요, 백합들을 모으시고자 함이라.

2 My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

3 나는 나의 사랑을 받는 이의 것이요, 나의 사랑을 받는 이는 나의 것이라. 그분께서 백합들 가운데서 양 떼를 먹이시느니라.

3 I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

4 ¶ 오, 나의 사랑이여, 그대는 티르자같이 아름답고, 예루살렘같이 고우며, 군기들을 든 군사같이 공포스럽도다.

4 ¶ Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.

5 그대의 두 눈을 나에게서 돌리라. 이는 그것들이 나를 정복하였기 때문이라. 그대의 머리카락은 길르앗으로부터 나타나는 염소들의 떼 같도다.

5 Turn away thine eyes from me, for they have overcome me: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from Gilead.

6 그대의 치아들은 씻고 나서 올라온 양들의 떼 같도다. 그것들 중 모두가 저마다 쌍둥이를 낳고, 그것들 가운데는 불임이 하나도 없도다.

6 Thy teeth are as a flock of sheep which go up from the washing, whereof every one beareth twins, and there is not one barren among them.

7 그대의 머리 타래들 속에 있는 그대의 두 관자놀이는 마치 석류 한 쪽 같도다.

7 As a piece of a pomegranate are thy temples within thy locks.

8 왕후들이 육십이요, 후궁들이 팔십이요, 처녀들은 무수하도다.

8 There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins without number.

9 나의 비둘기, 나의 더럽혀지지 않은 자는 오직 하나뿐이라. 그녀는 그녀의 어머니의 외동이요, 그녀는 그녀를 낳은 여인의 선택된 이라. 딸들이 그녀를 보았고, 그녀를 축복하였도다. 진정 왕후들과 후궁들도 그리하였으니, 그들이 그녀에게 찬사를 보냈도다.

9 My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

10 ¶ 아침같이 내다보고, 달같이 어여쁘며, 해같이 청명하고, 군기들을 든 군사같이 공포스러운 그녀는 누구인가?

10 ¶ Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?

11 내가 골짜기의 열매들을 보기 위해, 포도나무가 무성한지와 석류나무들이 싹이 텄는지 보기 위해 견과들의 정원 안으로 내려갔도다.

11 I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded.

12 내가 미처 자각하기 전에 나의 혼이 나를 암미나딥의 병거들처럼 만들었도다.

12 Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of Amminadib.

13 되돌아오라, 되돌아오라. 오, 슐람족 여인이여, 되돌아오라, 되돌아오라. 이는 우리가 너를 바라보려 함이라. 너희가 슐람족 여인에게서 무엇을 보겠느냐? 그것은 두 군사들을 합친 집단 같았도다.

13 Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return, that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.
